The opportunity

As an Engineering Intern at Rotork, from day one you’ll find yourself at the heart of the action with the opportunity to be involved in a variety of Engineering related activities. These could be within product design, manufacturing, maintenance, improvement, or servicing. All the while gaining invaluable knowledge and skills, and an unrivalled understanding of how the Engineering function operates in a global business.

Throughout your internship you will be fully supported by our Early Careers team, a graduate buddy and ongoing learning and development from our leaders and technical experts.

You’ll be working collaboratively as part of a high performing team, to build your engineering and technical skills, career prospects, and your knowledge of Rotork.

From day one you’ll play a meaningful role by supporting our Engineering team in their different initiatives such as:

  • Developing new features/product enhancements.
  • Supporting the development of new innovative products.
  • Using continuous improvement tools to improve the way we do things.
  • Solving problems around current and future technology.
  • Collaborating with other key project and business stakeholders.
  • Or even investigating the development of Actuation in the Metaverse.

As a successful candidate you will

  • Likely be an Undergraduate on track to achieve a 2:1 bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Software Engineering, or related subject.
  • Be looking for a summer internship between your penultimate and final year of studies, or sandwich placement as part of your studies.
  • Have a real passion for engineering and technology, with the desire to make a difference.
  • Be a team player that shares knowledge and insights and thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • Have a strong level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
