Team and Role

The Business Development team in EMEA are trail blazers. Often we are at the forefront of new business trends and technologies trying to discover the role Equinix can play supporting and monetizing them. The Business Development team in EMEA is a relatively small team, ~12 people, each person having their own focus on a particular market segment, location, or technology trend. We are all experts in our field providing support to Equinix to grow in the areas we support. Sustainability/ESG/CSR have become critical components in our discussions with customers and prospects so the team is pivoting towards these topics. An intern joining our team would work on projects to identify ways Equinix can exploit business trends or new technologies by researching and coming up with business plans and strategies. It should be a lot of fun!

Assignments and Responsibilities

• Researching specific market trends or new technologies to uncover opportunities for Equinix
• Forming Business Plans to allow Equinix to exploit opportunities
• Presenting Business Plans to Senior Management and cross-functional stakeholders to gain their support and engagement

Who You Are (Requirements and Qualifications)

• Broad interest in business and ESG/CSR/Sustainability
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in your penultimate year of your bachelor’s or master’s degree studies (Graduation between December 2023-September 2024)
• Available to work full-time for the entire duration of the Summer Internship Program (between May to September, depending on your school system)
• Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business proficiency in English
• Ability to create accurate and punctual reports, deliver presentations, and share information and ideas with others
• Analytically driven and detail-oriented, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package and aptitude to learn new software
