This position offers a flexible hybrid work model, allowing you to work from home as well as from our established UK offices. The primary locations for this role are BMT’s offices in Bath and London. Project requirements may occasionally require travel to customer sites and other BMT offices.

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about addressing these global challenges and are proactive in finding opportunities to integrate sustainable practices as part their role. In response to an exciting increase in current and future workload demands, BMT is seeking talented graduates to join our Naval Architecture capability team operating in the UK and Europe region. Roles are available within our Defence and/or Commercial Marine sectors.

In the role of an Analysis Engineer, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality analytical solutions to enhance BMT’s globally recognised design and engineering capabilities. Under the mentorship of our experienced professionals, you will be involved in formulating solutions for intricate problems, interpreting and communicating results, and contributing to the advancement of innovative analysis methods and processes.

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills

  • An academic degree (or its equivalent) in a scientific or engineering field such as Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Physics, preferably to a Master’s level;
  • Aptitude for teamwork and collaboration with engineers and professionals from a range of backgrounds;
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, both in writing and verbally;
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering tools and software (such as Computer-aided Design (CAD), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Python) would be considered an advantage;
  • A keen interest in delivering a first-class service to our customers, characterised by attention to detail;
  • Ambition to advance their career and achieve Chartered status.

Working in this technical consultancy focused role will provide you the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects and research, with the ability to tailor your training and project experience to align with your personal and professional aspirations. We seek motivated and committed graduates to join our dynamic Naval Architecture capability team. Our team works on a diverse range of technical projects, solving customer problems and delivering innovative custom solutions. We collaborate with customers to design new and existing vessels (ships and submarines) and assist them in managing their in-service support needs. Through leveraging new and emerging technologies, we deliver solutions which are relevant now and for the future.
